kvCORE
Full review with pricing, features, and our take on where it wins.
Choose BoldTrail (formerly kvCORE) if your brokerage needs a connected front and back office, recruiting workflows, and shared reporting. Choose Lofty (formerly Chime) if you are a solo agent or small team prioritizing the AI features it publishes and the ability to create Dotloop loops from your CRM. These are provisional use-case picks, not a price ranking: neither vendor publishes a numeric platform or setup price. Ask for comparable written proposals before making a purchase decision. For the standalone records, see kvCORE and Chime.
BoldTrail is the stronger provisional fit when the brokerage itself is the buyer. Its BASE package lists an IDX website, Smart CRM, listing management, business intelligence, and transaction management integration. The vendor also positions recruiting and back-office automation as parts of its broader offering. If your broker needs one view across agents and offices, ask which recruiting and back-office functions are included in the proposed package rather than assuming every module comes with BASE.
The BoldTrail-Sisu integration makes that operating model more concrete. Sisu pulls roster, contact, and activity data from BoldTrail for transaction tracking and performance analytics. It requires a Sisu account, so treat that connection as an integration to evaluate, not a promise that Sisu is bundled. A broker comparing quotes should ask who owns the Sisu subscription, what data syncs, and whether their planned permissions match the reporting they need.
Lofty also lists advanced lead routing, team management, and reporting in its published plan matrix, including the Agent column. It is a credible team platform, not merely a solo CRM. BoldTrail gets the brokerage-workflow nod here because its front-to-back positioning and documented Sisu data flow address a specific broker use case. Neither plan page proves that one vendor's reporting is universally deeper. Bring a sample roster, pipeline report, and office structure to both demos.
Neither vendor wins simply by offering IDX, CRM, or routing; both advertise all three. BoldTrail BASE lists configurable IDX websites and an AI-powered Smart CRM. Lofty's package matrix lists a customizable IDX website, AI-powered CRM, Smart Plans, and advanced lead routing. MLS coverage and implementation details still need confirmation for your market. An agent whose brokerage already provides one of these platforms should first find out what is included before buying a separate subscription.
Lofty gives a more explicit published inventory of AI work: its matrix lists Lofty Cowork, custom AI agents, scheduled AI tasks, and AI lead scoring across its platform plans. BoldTrail advertises an AI-powered Smart CRM, but the public BASE/PLUS/PRO comparison is less specific about equivalent tasks. For a small team choosing an AI-assisted daily workflow, Lofty is the clearer demo starting point. That is a judgment about what the vendors publish, not a hands-on claim that Lofty's models perform better. Ask each seller to show the same lead-prioritization task and identify any usage limits or optional charges.
Lofty wins if creating a Dotloop loop from a CRM transaction is required. Its Dotloop guide documents sending a lead or transaction to Dotloop, creating a new loop, and syncing selected transaction fields. That lets a team start the handoff in the CRM and continue work in Dotloop. Confirm permissions and field mapping using your own transaction stages before committing.
BoldTrail supports a different direction. Its Dotloop instructions say existing Dotloop transactions sync into BoldTrail and are visible to agents and admins. The same instructions explicitly say you cannot add a new transaction in BoldTrail and have it sync to Dotloop. For a brokerage whose transaction coordinators already start every loop in Dotloop, that may be acceptable. For an agent who expects a CRM button to create the loop, it changes the daily process. Do not reduce this choice to a generic "both integrate" checkbox.
Lofty Agent is a less certain choice if you need guided setup. The published matrix marks 1:1 onboarding and training for Team, Broker, and Enterprise, but leaves the Agent cell blank. It still lists help-center and phone/chat support for Agent. Ask whether an Agent proposal adds any implementation help and whether Team is needed for the training you want. BoldTrail's public plan page does not establish an equivalent one-to-one onboarding entitlement, so ask for the named implementation owner, migration work, training schedule, and launch criteria in writing on both sides.
A total price winner cannot be named from public platform rates as of September 30, 2026. BoldTrail lists BASE, PLUS, and PRO with "Talk to Sales" instead of numeric subscription prices. Lofty lists Agent, Team, Broker, and Enterprise with "Request Pricing." Neither page publishes a complete platform rate, setup charge, or five-seat schedule. Do not use an unsourced kvCORE monthly estimate as a substitute for a quote.
| Buyer | BoldTrail platform and setup | Lofty platform and setup | Total comparison |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solo agent | Quote required for a one-seat package and any implementation charges | Quote required for Agent and any implementation charges | Unverifiable without written offers |
| Five agents | Quote required for seat count, package, and implementation | Quote required for the appropriate Team or other package, five licenses, and implementation | Unverifiable without written offers |
Some optional charges are public, but they cannot reveal either total. BoldTrail's MarketReel add-on is listed at $79/month, separate from the unknown platform price. Lofty's lead-generation pricing page lists a 20% digital ad management fee and $70/month for a Home Evaluation Page if you buy seller lead generation without an IDX site. It also lists a 15% branding-ad management fee subject to a "CRM Professional Plan or above" requirement; that wording does not map cleanly to the Agent/Team/Broker/Enterprise names, so ask sales to reconcile it. None of these is a base subscription rate.
Lofty's optional call/text package schedule adds another budget question. Growth calls cost $15/month plus $0.03 per minute over the allowance, while Elite calls cost $79/month. Growth texts cost $49/month plus $0.02 per text over the allowance; Elite texts cost $89/month plus $0.015 per text over. Basic allowances may be included with certain platform packages. Request a quote stating what is included for each seat, whether upgrades are per account or per agent, and how overages are billed. Add the marketing budget and any separate Dotloop or Sisu subscription only if your team plans to use them.
Contract terms can outweigh a feature-list advantage if your team may change systems soon. Inside Real Estate's terms make BoldTrail's initial subscription length the number of months in the signed agreement. They then provide automatic twelve-month renewals unless written cancellation arrives at least thirty days before the end of the current term. The ordering information above the signature can supersede the standard terms.
Lofty's terms distinguish monthly and committed agreements. Monthly cancellation carries one additional full month of billing. A committed agreement renews for a year unless written notice arrives at least ninety days before its term ends; late notice can leave the upcoming renewal obligation in place. Compare the actual order forms, cancellation channels, and renewal dates before signing. A seller saying "monthly billing" is not enough to establish a month-to-month commitment.
Choose BoldTrail if your brokerage wants recruiting, back-office connectivity, and Sisu-backed reporting alongside lead management. It is also the sensible first option when your brokerage already pays for access and Dotloop loops originate outside the CRM. Confirm which modules, integrations, and support services the brokerage's agreement actually covers.
Choose Lofty if you are a solo agent or small team who wants the vendor's published AI task features and needs to send CRM transactions into new Dotloop loops. Ask for an Agent or Team demonstration that includes your actual follow-up and transaction workflow. If 1:1 onboarding matters, request the Team-level service in writing rather than inferring it from general support claims.
Our provisional recommendation: BoldTrail for brokerage-wide operations; Lofty for the AI-and-Dotloop-focused solo or small team. There is no defensible price winner until both sellers quote the same seat count, implementation scope, communications usage, add-ons, term, and renewal conditions.
Prices verified: kvCORE (2026-09-20), Chime (now Lofty) (2026-09-21)
kvCORE is marketed under the BoldTrail name by Inside Real Estate. Chime renamed itself Lofty. This comparison uses the current brand names for vendor plans and the familiar names for the existing tool records.
Lofty is the provisional pick for a solo agent who values its published AI tools and an Agent package. BoldTrail makes more sense when a brokerage supplies it or the agent needs its connected brokerage workflows. Neither vendor publishes a platform rate, so compare written solo quotes.
A five-seat total cannot be verified from public prices. BoldTrail lists BASE, PLUS, and PRO as Talk to Sales; Lofty lists Agent, Team, Broker, and Enterprise as Request Pricing. Ask both vendors for five-seat platform, implementation, communications, and optional-service charges.
Lofty's documented integration can create a Dotloop loop from a Lofty lead or transaction. BoldTrail imports and displays Dotloop transactions, but its documentation says a new transaction made in BoldTrail cannot sync to Dotloop. Verify your specific Dotloop account and workflow.
Both vendors advertise IDX websites, CRM, and lead routing. Confirm MLS availability, website count, assignment rules, and the exact package inclusions in each written quote before choosing.
Lofty's published plan matrix does not mark 1:1 onboarding and training for Agent. It marks that service for Team, Broker, and Enterprise. Ask sales what setup help and training an Agent quote actually includes.
It depends on the signed agreement. BoldTrail's standard terms renew for twelve months unless written cancellation arrives at least thirty days before term end. Lofty's monthly agreements bill one additional full month on cancellation; committed terms renew for one year unless notice arrives at least ninety days before term end. Check the order form.
