Wise Agent
Full review with pricing, features, and our take on where it wins.
LionDesk was discontinued in September 2025. The information below is preserved for historical reference, but LionDesk is no longer available for new signups. If you were considering LionDesk, here is our recommendation:
This was one of the most common CRM decisions for solo real estate agents: Wise Agent or LionDesk? Both were budget-friendly options under $50/month, both covered core CRM needs, and both had loyal followings. But they had different strengths.
The core question was: Is your primary outreach channel email or text?
If email (drip campaigns, newsletters, long-form nurture), Wise Agent was the better choice. If text (SMS follow-up, quick responses, video messages), LionDesk had the edge.
With LionDesk's discontinuation, Wise Agent is now the default budget CRM for solo agents. For agents who relied on LionDesk's texting features, the best approach is pairing Wise Agent with a third-party texting tool, or upgrading to Follow Up Boss which includes SMS support.
Wise Agent shines in email marketing. The platform includes robust drip campaigns, newsletters, and an email template library--all built into the core product. Agents can create sophisticated nurture sequences for different lead types (buyers, sellers, past clients, sphere) without needing external email tools. The email features feel native and polished, not bolted on.
Many Wise Agent users specifically chose it because they wanted built-in email marketing that "just works" without adding Mailchimp or another service to their stack.
LionDesk had email capabilities including drip campaigns, but email was not its strength. The email features were functional but less sophisticated than Wise Agent's.
Winner for email: Wise Agent, clearly.
LionDesk was built with a text-first philosophy. SMS was central to the workflow, with templates, automation triggers, and strong deliverability. The platform also offered "video texting"--the ability to send video messages via text.
Wise Agent supports texting through add-ons or third-party integrations rather than as a core feature. If you need basic texting, you can make it work with Zapier, but if SMS was your primary channel, LionDesk had the edge.
Historical winner for texting: LionDesk. But since LionDesk is discontinued, agents needing text-first outreach should evaluate Follow Up Boss ($69/user/month) which includes SMS support.
Wise Agent has an excellent task and reminder system that's central to its value proposition. The workflow is designed around "no lead falls through the cracks"--with reminders, follow-up prompts, and task lists that keep agents organized. Users frequently cite the task/reminder system as a key reason they stay with Wise Agent.
Winner for tasks: Wise Agent.
Wise Agent is known for exceptional customer support available 24/7. This reputation is a significant differentiator in a market where CRM support can be frustrating. Many Wise Agent users specifically cite support quality as a reason for their loyalty.
Winner for support: Wise Agent.
Wise Agent has been around since 2002--over two decades in real estate tech. The company is stable, the product is mature, and there's a large user base. LionDesk's discontinuation in September 2025 reinforces the importance of choosing a stable, established platform.
Winner for stability: Wise Agent, decisively.

Since LionDesk is no longer available, agents who relied on its text-first features should consider:
Wise Agent ($49/month) is the clear choice for solo agents who need a budget CRM in 2026. With LionDesk discontinued, Wise Agent stands alone in the budget category with superior email marketing, excellent 24/7 support, and reliable task management--all in one simple plan at $49/month ($33/month with annual billing).
For agents who need more advanced features like team routing, SMS, or integration flexibility, upgrade to Follow Up Boss ($69/user/month).
LionDesk was discontinued in September 2025 and is no longer available. Wise Agent ($49/month, or $33/month with annual billing) is now the recommended budget CRM for solo agents, offering contact management, built-in email marketing, drip campaigns, task management, and 24/7 support.
LionDesk was discontinued in September 2025. The platform is no longer accepting new signups or supporting existing users. Solo agents who previously used LionDesk should consider Wise Agent ($49/month) as the most direct replacement, or Follow Up Boss ($69/user/month) for more advanced features.
Wise Agent costs $49/month or $399/year (effectively $33/month with annual billing). This includes full CRM features, built-in email marketing, drip campaigns, task management, and 24/7 support. A 14-day free trial is available.
If you relied on LionDesk primarily for text-first outreach, Follow Up Boss ($69/user/month) now supports SMS alongside its broader CRM capabilities. Wise Agent supports texting through add-ons and Zapier integrations. For dedicated texting, consider adding a third-party SMS tool to either CRM.
Yes, Wise Agent is the most direct replacement for LionDesk as a budget real estate CRM. At $49/month ($33/month with annual billing), it covers contact management, email marketing, drip campaigns, and task reminders. The main gap is texting -- Wise Agent relies on add-ons for SMS rather than having it built in like LionDesk did.
