Zillow announced on September 15 that Zillow Preview listings will come to RealScout later in 2026. Brokerages must opt in. Eligible listings will carry Preview labels, and Zillow says the active MLS listing will replace the Preview version once it goes active. The announcement gives a fall rollout window, without an exact launch day.

TL;DR

  • RealScout's planned Preview support gives participating agents another place to share pre-market homes with clients.
  • RealScout already connects with Follow Up Boss. This announcement does not establish Preview-specific CRM activity tracking.
  • Confirm brokerage participation and release availability before promising access to buyers.

What changes for agents

Buyers working with participating agents will be able to discover eligible Preview homes inside RealScout, giving sellers another distribution channel before the listing becomes active. Check your own brokerage's eligibility. These details come from Zillow's announcement.

Our recommendation: prepare your client explanation now. Tell buyers how you will identify Preview listings and handle questions about availability once the feature reaches your account.

Where Follow Up Boss fits

Follow Up Boss is the relevant connection for teams already using both products. RealScout documents an existing integration that syncs leads into its platform and returns client activity and messages to the CRM. That functionality predates this announcement. See RealScout's integration overview for the current workflow.

Inbox access deserves a separate check. Follow Up Boss says its RealScout inbox app supports listing messages, showing requests and Home Value Alert messages, with activation controlled by the account owner. Its inbox documentation explains the setup.

If you are comparing real estate CRMs, ask how property-search conversations reach the person responsible for follow-up. This announcement alone gives you too little information to justify another subscription.

What to check before rollout

Have your account owner review the existing connection first. RealScout's setup guide requires matching agent email addresses and valid contact emails. Owners also choose contact imports and reassignment settings. Backfilling activity can generate team alerts, so schedule that work deliberately.

After Preview support becomes available, inspect a listing's transition to active status and check which client actions appear in Follow Up Boss. Confirm those results before building new automations. Existing RealScout activity tags support CRM workflows, but the documentation does not specify how upcoming Preview interactions will be tagged.
